The workshop ‟Strengthening Collective Bargaining in the Croatian Financial Services Sectorˮ organized by UNI Europa Finance and held on 16 April 2025 at the Academia Hotel in Zagreb featured presentations by dr. Hrvoje Butković and dr. Višnja Samardžija, Emeritus, from the Department for European Policies. The researchers presented key findings of the report on collective bargaining in the Croatian financial services sector, which was recently published as part of the BARSERVICE project. The report, based on secondary sources and interviews with representatives of social partners, analyses the main challenges facing the house level collective bargaining in the financial services sector, as well as the possibilities for improving the current practices. In addition to IRMO representatives, the workshop was attended by representatives of the Croatian Banking and Financial Employees’ Trade Union (SBF), as well as industrial relations experts from abroad. UNI Europa Finance is part of the global union UNI
Europa and represents 100 unions and 1.5 million workers in the European central banks, banking and insurance sectors.
